A stakeholder event was held at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, today to support the deliberation process of the Right Care, Right Time, Right Place consultation on proposed changes to hospital and community health services in Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield.
Representatives from local stakeholder, patient representative, voluntary and campaign groups attended the event.
The event was an opportunity to describe the consultation process; Independent Report of Findings; explain how responses to the consultation were analysed and take part in group discussions about the key findings.
Head of Quality for NHS Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG and NHS North Kirklees CCG, Penny Woodhead, said:
“On behalf of the Governing bodies of NHS Calderdale CCG and NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG, I would like to thank everyone for their time, expertise and input into an extremely productive session.”
A report capturing recommendations from the event will be produced to support the CCGs in their deliberation process. This will be considered by the CCGs, together with the independent Report of Findings; the Equality and Health Inequality Impact Assessment; and the response from the Calderdale and Huddersfield Joint Health Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC).
The CCGs will continue to review the findings of the consultation and understand the impact on the proposed changes.
The Governing bodies of NHS Calderdale CCG and NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG will meet in public on 20 October to reach a decision on the outcome of the consultation and next steps.
Details of the meeting will be issued later this month
